After you get your quote, you have the option to email me using the “Get In Touch” button.

This will create an email which includes the quote breakdown. Before sending the email, I recommend for you to add information about what you’re looking to create, when you would want to do it and when would be a good time to have a call.

Once we’ve had this call and all information is confirmed, I can double-check the quote, make any changes/savings before providing the final quote.

The calculator is designed to provide potential clients with a reasonably accurate quote for their production/post-production needs.

Most costs (based on my own production and post-production costs as well as general studio costs) are considered, but full confirmation of the quote and costs will be provided once you email additional details about your project.

Provided you input the information around what you need accurately the quote is reasonably accurate.

Please note this “Version 1” of the calculator and improvements may be made in the future based on feedback.

The price shown is both the monthly cost and the total project cost if you need support over multiple months.

This cost is not necessarily the final cost, as there may be savings which can be applied or costs not able to be fully calculated when you did your calculation such as specific studio costs.

For the final quote, please email using the button at the end of the calculator so your calculation is included when you email.

With all podcast jobs, there is a mandatory deposit of 50% of the monthly cost or if filming is involved 100% of the filming cost upfront.

All will require a contract, which would be provided for review following the final quote being agreed to.

Yes, if you want to pay in full straight away, this is always welcome, and as a bonus, you would receive an additional discount of 10%.

If you can pay the entire fee upfront instead of the deposit, we can knock 10% off.

There are also discounts built into the calculator for certain scenarios, such as longer lead times.

The calculator is geared towards longer-term projects; however it does provide quotes for both long-term projects and one-off projects.

Yes. If filming is required, please indicate this when doing your calculation.

When you email your results, we can discuss your filming needs in more detail.

I can help with taking over the production, post-production or both entirely. Alternatively, I can work as part of a wider team to amplify your current processes.

Yes. Any filming will ideally be done in a studio which is convenient to you or your guests and includes equipment.

If filming on site is required, appropriate equipment can be provided.

There is also an option for clients to provide their own equipment. Whether this is the correct option for the project aim would be discussed before a final quote is provided.

Yes, these are options within the calculator and can be discussed further if that is what you’re looking for.

Turnaround time mentioned in the calculator is per episode or from the first episode recorded.

Minimum turnaround time per episode is 1 week.

Schedules would be worked out during the agreement.

You do get discounts for longer lead times.

24-hour turnaround is not outside the realm of possibilities, but I find it’s better not to rush these things, as it drives up your costs and reduces the amount of time you or I have to review it.

The turnaround option “No Deadline” means that rather than you the client setting the deadline for when the episode/s delivered it would instead be down to my schedule as an editor (within reason).

Ideally, this would not exceed 2 months from when the original recording happened.

The terms of this would be agreed upon by both parties prior to any project starting.

1 episode would be enough to launch a podcast, however having more in the pipeline to build an audience is recommended.

A podcast episode is up to 1 hour of edited footage.

A clip would be up to 2 minutes.

Within an 8-hour day no more than 5, hour-long episodes are recommended to be filmed.

Within a half day filming, 3 would be the max at a push.

No, you can mix and match. However if there is an unexpected cost with different studio space this would be added to the final quote.

Additional costs would apply which would be highlighted in the agreement and prior to shooting.

This will depend on the location of the shoot and how easy it is to get to.

Most travel will be included within the cost.

As planning (including launch/marketing plans) is not a service that I usually offer, it would need to be considered on a case-by-case basis.

However, for an additional £100/month, I would be able to take on publishing the podcast to specific platforms. This would need to be requested when you email.

Captions are not an included cost within the calculator, but the cost per episode is displayed at the end calculation.

Captions for clips are included within the per-episode costs. The number of clips needed per episode would need to be stated.

If the request is for social clips only, captions would still be cost on a per-episode basis.
